Welcome to the web presence of the Helmholtz Young Investigator Group “A big unknown in the climate impact of atmospheric aerosol: Mineral soil dust”. We investigate mineral dust processes with the goal to better quantify the dust cycle and its impacts. Our focus is on land-surface properties and their changes, dust emission, and dust-cloud interactions, and our research methods include theory, numerical modeling, as well as field and laboratory measurements.
